Truth is more than simple words; truth is a sacred vibration. This vibration pervades through the cosmos as God consciousness, Christ consciousness, Buddha consciousness, all that which is pure. Truth fears nothing nor does it need to hide behind man made laws.
Chardi Kala is a term we use in yoga that indicates the mindset that a yogi, and indeed any person on a spiritual path, should espouse. In simple terms Chardi Kala means keeping your mind in an elevated and joyful state at all times and under all circumstances. In practical terms, it means greeting people with a smile, doing your work joyfully, and even when things appear to be going wrong keep a lighthearted and positive attitude.
Sometime we forget that we have the power to choose our moods. All too often we do not exercise this power and we allow ourselves to indulge in the negative aspects of things and get sucked into the dramas of life. Through discipline we can change that negative inclination to positivity by remembering the gift of choice. As soon as you are aware that you have fallen into the negative mind, catch yourself. "Ah ha! I was about to get angry, frustrated, disappointed, offended, but instead I am going to shrug it off!" There more you do this the more frequently you find yourself in a good mood. But beware: the ego doesn't easily like to shrug things off. The ego has believes in self-entitlement, that it MUST defend itself from insults, that it MUST get angry if offended, and so on.
But if you truly desire inner peace you'll see that it never comes to those who have an exaggerated sense of self-importance. It comes to those who can let things slide, relax, chill, be cool...So unless you want a perpetual Welt Krieg, a World War III, raging on inside you, take it easy and let your ego subside with a few healing breaths. Do this when you stub your foot, are late for a meeting, when someone says an unkind word. Just stop and breathe long and deep for a few moments and see if the negative mood that was bubbling up and about to explode subsides. Water won't come to a boil if you take it off the fire.
Each morning we are given a new day and a new opportunity to embrace life, to see the sun rise, to hear the chirping of songbirds, and to make positive and healthy changes that will benefit ourselves and others. Those first few minutes when we arise or so essential to set the direction of our consciousness. As they say, if you start the day off on the wrong foot the rest of the days seems to go wrong. So be sure that you have two "right" feet when you step out of bed.
First thing upon arising, set your mind and make the choice that no matter what obstacles come your way you will be in Chardi Kala, and joyfully meet each challenge of the day with a smile. Meditate to clear your mind. Tune in to your higher consciousness with Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo three times, and then do Long Chant Ek Ong Kar Sat Nam Siri Wahey Guru for a few minutes. Let go of outcomes and let the creative energies of the universe guide you. This will make each moment of your day, and life, a victory.
Be Happy. Be blessed.
