Sevara on The Therapeutic Value of Yoga and Meditation in the Management of At-Risk Behaviors in Adolescents
Interview conducted by Jenni MacNeil
On Mother's Day we celebrate the feminine energy. This energy is needed more than ever in these times. Whether a woman has children or not makes no difference - it is the healing roll that they play in society that is of importance. The male dominant energy has prevailed too long and has failed to bring peace upon this planet. But now as we shift into the Age of Aquarius a new light is dawning. It is time for men to step aside and allow the nurturing, sacred energy of the Divine Mother help us get through this transitional period, with gracefulness, gentleness, and generosity of the heart.

Dear Johannes [aka Sevara],
Congratulations - we are delighted to announce you have been accepted as one of our Love Ambassadors. [Name omitted for privacy] recently nominated you for this designation. Your willingness to live your life dedicated to the vision of love is a potent model for so many. By your words, deeds and actions, you are having a profound impact on all those you contact. We are grateful and happy to extend this recognition to you.
As many of you know I was in India for the last month. Now that I have returned, I find myself quite drained emotionally and spiritually, as I process all the sights and sounds that I took in. It was exciting to visit the land where the wisdom of thousands of years of history has been spread over the world through holy books, gurus, great tales, poetry, art, and music. It is the land where yoga and ayurveda were born. It is a land of mystical beauty, temples, and myths. It is a land of contrasts, contradictions and paradoxes.
I arrived in Delhi last night and everything has been going smoothly. It is a little dirty here with garbage spotting the streets. It is also rather noisy. But Delhi is just a starting point for a greater journey - a journey into the mysteries of India! Tomorrow I plan to go to Agra (where the Taj Mahal is) and then on to Varanasi (temples and the famous Ganges river are there) by train. On Sunday I want to fly to Bombay (Mumbai). Here in Delhi the weather is actually quite nice and I'm wearing my sandals!
I have booked my flight and will be traveling to India throughout January 2008. I hope to be able to upload pictures to this site while I'm there, but I'm not sure how often I will have access to the internet. So hopefully I'll be able to share many colorful and exciting photos with you of my journey.
